Rum Barrel Porter
Here are the latest pix from last weekend’s brew. I made my first Porter. Once again the recipe comes from the “Make Some Beer” book. Just get the book for the recipe. Totally worth it.
The fun part is I got to finally use the oak chips that I bought awhile back mainly because they were a good replacement for my fantasy oak barrel purchase. (A girl can dream.)
I used the most excellent La Colombe coffee infused rum for soaking. I have a good feeling about this batch of brew.
It’s in the fermenter now. See you in a few weeks.
