The 12 Bottlings of Christmas begins – Coffee Milk Stout
That was sure fast. Two weeks ago I started the “12 Brews of Christmas project” and the first batch is bottled and ready for the Christmas tree. It’s going to be pretty labor intensive for the next several days after work. Nine beers, one hard cider and one mead left to go.
I used Maple Syrup for priming and added 1 conditioning tablet per bottle “just in case.” This was the first batch that I’ve bottled without using 16 ounce swing-tops. The smaller volumes resulted in 9 bottles.
I can never tell what the taste is going to finally be at this stage of the game. The coffee scent is definitely there. We’ll see in couple of weeks.
