12 Brews 0f Christmas: #11 Cherry Bomb

On the 11th day of Christmas I decided to go for a safe, festive bet… Cherry Amber Ale. Once again it took me an hour and a half to get home from work so I needed to work fast. Dry Malt Extract to the rescue. The Sparking Amber DME is new to me so let’s see what kind of fireworks we get in a few weeks.
I stayed with the tried and true and oh so delicious Mosaic hops and for flavor at flameout I scrounged in my pantry for some sour cherries and cloves. The yeast was the dregs of a packet of Nottingham Ale. Something good is bound to happen… I think?
I’ve had lots of luck with DME batches. This one looks different but promising.
The twelve brews of Christmas come to an end tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. Cheers!
This sounds great! I look forward to hearing how WONDERFUL it is when it’s ready. By the way….when will it be ready?!
It usually takes 2 to 4 weeks after bottling. Just in time for Xmas?
