Moment of Truth: 12 Brews of Christmas – Mugwort Sage

Tasting Mugwort Sage

Another brewing success story! This brew was made with wild foraged mugwort and white sage from the local Southern California landscape. It’s hard to describe the flavor of mugwort. You really need to try it.

This is another brew from the “12 Brews” project. It’s bright, dry, sparkling, and lemon fresh.

I used the notorious “Prime Dose” capsules when I bottled these and sadly the capsules did not dissolve. I think I will empty the remaining capsules directly into future brew bottles rather than toss in the whole capsule. I needed to fish it out before drinking. Oh well, minor set back.

Foraged brews are my favorite. I usually make them a little sweeter than this but it’s still good.

Here’s the link to the brewing post.
